So this is my plan: I have two Prevue flight cages, ideally I would like to put all my males in one and all of my females in the other. All of my chicks are now weaned, 5 of them are 2 months old and 4 of them are about 6 weeks old. Do you guys think this is an OK age to start separating them into male/female flights?

I keep the juvs together while they are coloring up.
Until I see a male try to mate with his sister, then I move the male.
He gets moved either to the male community cage or on the other side of a divider so he can see but not touch his sister.
In your case I would wait till you have at least 2 males ready to be separated, so the one moved is not alone. Then gradually as you identify the males, separate them from the females.
