Re: My Flight
Wow, love the new flight and the Blue-faced Parrots!!! My golly, they are gorgeous!!! Are they a confirmed male and female pair? They have tons of room to fly so the parrot finches should stay nice and lean. I love how decorated your aviary is -- it looks like a tropical rain forest. What did you end up trading? Canaries? Your gorgeous vibrant fire finches?
God is my redeemer and it is through Him I have found eternal happiness. I am grateful, I am blessed, and I am truly loved. I wish all this and more for all members of our finch forum family. May you all be blessed and highly favored.

Re: My Flight
Very nice, well bushed up. So Green, PF will be hard to find as they blend in well. Are all the plants fake or are you using a combination of live and fake.

Beautiful aviary, your birds should be very happy with it!Paradise Aviary wrote:Plus I was told by the owner that the female I have is split to lutino so I could get some lutino chicks
Isn't lutino sex-linked? If so, the females cannot be split, they are either normal or visually mutation. If your male is split to lutino, if paired with a normal hen, you have a chance of getting lutino hens.

Re: My Flight
Beautiful, Rancel! Your birds will like all that cover -- they will feel they are in the wild.
I absolutely adore PF's and I know you will love yours too. Be sure to keep us updated on how they are doing.
I have Lutino BF's but they are two females and I've been so busy I haven't even tried (yet) to find them split or Lutino BF males. (Plus $$ is kind of tight right now
).
Let us know how your new space works out with your birds and what you might do differently as well -- I'm always trying to learn how to improve my own cages/aviary.

Re: My Flight
Thanks Rancel it was hard to spot them in one of the pics so I do understand it would be hard to see them. Fake plants will work best when there is little to no Sun so stick with what works. I was just curious as there seemed alot of plants and such a vibrant Green I was wondering if there was a live one in there. As for the lutino PF they are a weaker than the normal and I have known a guy that was trying to breed them and he found that alot did die after fledging and only a few would survive and this is why they have a high price value. Once the mutation becomes as strong as the normal and babies are being breed in higher numbers then the price will start to drop.

Re: My Flight
Very nice
. Can you please put a picture of the whole cage from the outside. How do you plan to clean poo from all this plants? What do you use for ground covering? Sand?
