Bird Bath in Aviary

I found this, would this work good for my gouldians and cordon bleus inside an aviary? They seem to fight over the small bird bath we have now. With this birdbath I can remove the top to clean it off and change water. It would also look really nifty in our aviary.

I use a concrete bird bath in my outdoor aviary. It's very easy to clean and the birds don't have to worry about slipping around like they do with plastic or glass. I also found a nice small flattish rock to put in the middle to serve as little island.
Good luck

I think it would work, you just need a plan to clean it. I also think an islnd rock thing is a good idea

The concrete could also help keep the nails filed on those birds that tend to need trimming often.

This is a birdbath I have used in a large flight. It is about half the size of the standard outdoor birdbaths. It is slick, since it is ceramic, but the birds never seemed to have any trouble taking a bath, and since it is slick, it is very easy to clean. The top lifts off.

It will work a treat for adult birds. Its strong and sturdy so no breaking or falling off/over. The concrete bowl can help with filing down some nails and also be relatively easy to clean. My only concern would be the size of the bowl. When young fledge and leave the nest water in big dishes become a drowning hazard, they can drown in a small amount as they get very heavy once wet and can't move. For this reason alone I would consider putting it as far away from nests as possible to try and avoid this problem but other than that it would be a hood idea.

Forgot to mention, I don't use the stand part. I just have the bowl on the ground like a puddle. :D
