Hiya all
Just a quick question Iam from not so much sunny England lol and was wondering is it wise to lock my zebra finches in over night, they have a coverd flight and every morning I open there little door and all come flying out every night I chase them all in and lock door, would it be better to leave the door open 24/7 to stop them getting stressed

Are they safe from predators if you keep the choice of door open? Is so, let them go in on their own if they need shelter.

I have a very simular set up and only lock them in when the weather is to cold to leave them out all night.

My buddy lets his birds choose inside or outside, all by themselves. Similar temperatures in Ontario, Canada.
