Can young goulds be housed with older goulds?

I have five weaning gouldians that are with societies (due to being tossed MANY times...). Now they are older, almost completely weaned and I'm worried about imprinting (they are still sardining themselves in w societies). I need to give them some gouldian influence so they know that they too are gouldians! I have a larger flight cage for my non-breeding older goulds. Can I put my young goulds in there? Are they going to get picked on?

Once they have fully weaned, they should be absolutely fine with the other goulds. The only time there would be aggression would be if you were introducing them to a breeding pair.

I hear that certain society characteristics sometimes to wear off on to the offspring, so I would put them with their own kind. I think one of my gouldians was raised by societies because of how rough and different his song is compared to my other males I know were parent raised.

I put 3 of my weaned babies with an older male and they get along great!
I've only seen Gouldians show aggression during breeding season when I had an odd # of males/females in the same cage.
Other than that, they seem to be very relaxed with each other, regardless of age

There will be no problem with putting your young goulds with older ones, in fact it will be a good thing. Before you move them be sure they are fully weaned.
Congratulations on your newly fledged chicks and best of luck

Wow, thank you all so much! Greatly appreciate your responses!! Will be moving them as soon as I can ensure they are all eating enough and drinking more regularly.

As far as age goes, they were born may 20th, Fledged June 10. Today is the 23rd... so approximately 34-35 days old... is this a pretty usual time for them to be fully weaned?

Again, thank you all for the lovely responses- I love this forum!
