I have some of those here and haven't had any issues, but as with all things extra in a flight, it bears watching to be sure none are getting caught in threads anywhere. They look nice, don't they?

Sandy, I will try to get some photos of the Societies later on. They are a couple of years old - and are mostly chestnut and fawn pieds. Although they may have a clutch or two left in them, there are no guarantees as Societies are only fertile for a few years.

They are nice birds - in good condition - I saved a few too many! :)

I also have fake greenery from the dollar store in the cage and they love it! They especially like roosting in it at night.

I do find however that mine nibble on it quite a bit, so I've tried to steer clear of anything that might have glue on it, like flowers glued on the wire etc. Just in case they nibble on the glue and it's toxic.

I use them too. And....you can just take them outside and hose them off, or replace.

Sandy, silk plants work great, remember I had them in every cage!

I use the plastic plants from Hobby Lobby (or if you don't have HL, any craft store). They are a little more expensive than the dollar store, but they are usually bigger and fuller. Soak them in a big bucket, rinse and air-dry, and they are good to use again.
