I live in Central Florida, and for a few years I've been letting my finches live semi-wild in my large pool enclosure during our warmer months when the average low temp is over 50 degrees F (March - November), and in the winter I cram them into wire cages and keep them indoors.
I'm planning to build a much healthier indoor aviary with proper lighting, space, etc. for this winter... but it got me thinking about maybe making a heated, breeze-proof enclosure they can freely enter and exit, and just leave them out there all year?
The sun makes for warmer days in the winter (40s F), but once in a while the overnight lows dip to the high 20s. If they had a perching/sleeping area that was heated to a steady 60 F... would that be worth a try, or would I be putting all my birds at risk?
BTW I have a mix of zebras, gouldians, pintailed whydas, and green singers.
Outdoors all year - how cold is too cold?

I've been keeping my goulds, owls, and diamond doves outside year round. In winter I have their coop set at 55 degrees F with an oil filled radiator, haven't had a problem yet.
best of luck
