IDK. It might scare the birds with those eyes, but they'd probably try to take off the strand of coco fiber! LOL.

Take the eyes off and it should work..

Don't see why it wouldn't work eyes or no eyes.
Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't pull them eyes off themselves over time.
