did you put two females with one male?

and did you take out his mate and put in two females, right away?

If I am switching mates, I always take out one of the birds, wait for few days,
and then put in a new mate.
In that way the bird get used the idea that his partner isnt coming back and will accept
the new mate.

Never have two females with one male. Eventually one female will get picked on. Picked on can range from feathers pulled to death.
