Flight is finished!!`
My flight is finnaly completed. It is 4x2ft. The front and side walls are plexi-glass. The back wall is 1inch thick wood. The bottom is wood which slides out, but I have newspaper over it for easier cleaning, there is also a piece of wood that moves to cover the gap in the bottom where I remove the newpaper.. The top is a removable fram witht mesh. The back wall has 1 inch mesh stapled to it so I can hang nests and plants.. There are stree naturl perches (one being a tree branch with multiple piece extending off) drilled into the sides of the cage.. Also it is heavily planted and their is a long vine going across the entire cage, their is also a nest on the back wall and nesting material stuffed in all the plants so they have to forage for it.. The food and water dish are on the bottom so i can reach from the bottom to grab them. I love it!!! I put the grassquits in and they dissapeared into the plants!!! The hen is already smart enough not to fly into the glass, but the male is curious and flutters against it and pecks at it. Pictures very soon!!!

Well done Dante!!! The flight sounds fantastic and well thought out. I've often wondered what the plexi-glass flights would be like - definitely less seed being thrown around!!!
And oh yes, cant wait for the pics

Lol, glad you like it Simon. Yes grassquits are rare, glad you researched them.
It was very easy to make, if you can get the wood and glass cut, then all you need is a drill!
