New Aviary planning

Hi everyone,
It's been a month now with my latest family editions...the four African waxbills. I'm afraid I still have them housed in a 24 x 23 but that will be changing soon. All are doing well.
I plan on building an indoor aviary pretty much identical to the Aviary Panel plans in the Forum Information Centre. I will be making a few changes, but slight. I have about 5 pages of hand drawings to go by so far. My two front panels will be of plexi glass, with a couple of small doors at the bottom. The sides and the roof will be of poly cloth 1/2 inch mesh. The wood work will be stained (pecan) and coated with urethane, all water based.
I also want to cut a notch beneath the two front panels if panel width permits, wide enough to slide the floor out for newspaper change out and cleaning.
I have the panels and cloth ordered and hope to have them in a week or so. Plexi I will order later on this week.
Thats my progress to date. If so desired I can add pics of my progress from time to time for others who may be thinking of going this route. I think it's a great idea using door panels.
I am including the current housing I have for my 2 blues and 2 orange breasts. Definitely not large enough for these little ones who need wide open spaces to fly. Hopefully by xmas or sooner I will have their new quarters complete.
