New cage: How many birds????

Couple questions: Bot a cage today (Craig's List) $50. Measures 24" wide 22" deep 35" high on a stand with wheels. Great condition, but it is a cage for a parrot, and has bars 3/4" apart. Are my Gouldians going to escape from that???

How many Gouldian youngsters can I put in this cage??
I have 11 at this time.

I did buy some bird netting (14' x 14' piece for $6++) in case the bars ared too far apart, but I wonder if they might get their feet caught in that; I was going to put it on the OUTSIDE of the cage.

Appreciate any & all answers & advice. Thanks :D

How high it is does not matter so I would say no more then 2. I wouldn't go bigger then 1/2 inch spacing. :(

OH Yummer Debbie; I was hoping I could use it for my youngsters. Will have to use it as a breeding cage.

I guess the only way I could keep a lot of youngsters together would be to get a double wide, huh? :?

hey dolly, that sounds like a great deal on the cage but I worry about the spacing. I usually go by"if you can fit your index finger through the bars, they could probably fit their neck through the bars. I would probably get a different cage but keep the other one too. good luck - tammy
