I now have a yellow canary living with my society finches. things seem to be working out. Does anybody know of a good website for canaries. I want to know a few things. Does she need a nest to feel safe? I took all of the nest out of the cage, so the society finches don't have one either. she is very timid and sweet. My mom had her in a cage all by herself and she would just eat and sit on her nest, she wouldn't perch much. so my mom gave her to me thinking she might be lonely. any advice. -tammy

Your canary hen doesn't need a nest in the cage outside of the breeding season.
