turn the cage on it's side

Post by Tammy » Mon May 13, 2013 4:15 pm

o.k. I have a question, my cage is 36 high and 30 long, so if I turned it on it's side it only gives me 6 inches of extra space , so is it worth it. so then what would I do for a tray? any thoughts.... I have about 42 inches of space to work with. I would love to make may cage bigger. any ideas-tammy

Personally I don't feel you would gain enough for all the trouble you would have to solve. The birds also need flight up and down to build a different set of muscle then side to side flight. I would leave it as is :)

If you had more extra space to work with, you could join another cage together with it, but 42" only gives you 12 more inches to add. Finding something to join on for 12" could be tough, unless you build your own extension out of wirecloth, tho that would look strange and take a lot of figuring.

Any place to buy cage fronts or pieces you could work with? Or a cheap cage you could take apart to use for adding on?

tough problem.
