Strawberies question

Post by nicolino » Fri Jun 07, 2013 8:37 pm

I'm working on cage set up for my new strawberries. I got a cage 32"x 48"x60"high. Would like to know from the strawberries breeders, is that sufficient for a pair of berries and or can I keep two pairs together ? Would like to include also some gouldians in the cage to keep them company.

I agree. I would either have one pair of Strawberries in that cage by themselves, or I would use that cage for other birds and set the Strawberries up in separate cages. I have been using mostly 40x20x20 cages, with one pair per cage, but have also used 34x18x18 and 32x21x35, again one pair per cage. I have a friend who has multiple pairs in a large sunporch aviary, but cages don't work well for multiple-pair breeding.
