well I did it...

Post by EyesofFreedom » Sun Aug 25, 2013 2:11 pm

I really wanted some owl finches... I planned on housing them in another F040... well amazon has the F040 on sale right now for $110.14 with free shipping so I just ordered it...

Now I will have a cage for when I find my owls... now just to find them... and I can house the juvenile zebs in it for the time being until they find a new home

Wish you were closer - I have owls coming out of my ears! They are all related but I do have someone here in town that I can swap for bloodlines. The hen and cock are non-stop breeders - I took the hen out and put with a cherry cock that was waiting for a mate and almost had "chowls"! Who ever said finches wont cross-breed has never been to my house. Put mom & dad back together- 3 days of them attached to the sides of their cages screaming for eachother was enough- without a nest and they are busy tearing up anything they can!
10 Owl Finches, 15 Pied Societies, 8 Color Bred Canaries and a blind Gouldian, Veronica
2 schnauzers, Herb & Stella
1 Sheltie mix, Mickey

not much time for a life!

Carlamay lol 8)

I have been toying with the idea for a year now about converting part of the outside deck that is walled and covered into an external aviary...

Well the cage came in yesterday... now I think I will put it together and keep it in the retreat... then when quarantine is over for Sky and Skittles I am thinking of converting the storage room into a bird room ;)
