I'm building a new aviary and would like to build a "feeding station" where I can provide them with seeds, treats etc and whenever I want to, catch a certain bird and be able to do it without much effort. Can anyone provide me with pictures or perhaps a site where I can get ideas or buy one?

wmatos, I just build myself a small wire cage with a spring loaded door that I keep open with a small stick. I then attach some fishing line to it and voila, you have a cheap effective bird trap.

I used all wire so the birds can see the food inside and then remove the other feeding stations. The only disadvantage is that it takes a day or two to catch the bird you want so I usually do it over weekends.

Hope this helps

I have a very small traveling cage big enough to go in the flight cage and i have the door proped open with a stick and have a string tied to it so when they go inside to get the food i pull it and it is so much easier then trying to catch it by hand. I did that was and it took forever.
