Well I have a large flight cage and another cage. But wanted something bigger to give them more room to fly around in. So I bought this one on sale.
Managed to get it with no taxes or shipping charges !

Large white cage 37-27-68 compared to one of my flight cages of 26x14x22
Also bought some artificial plants to decorate it when it shows up.

Here are the cages I currently own

I love those flights. We used to sell them at the petstore I worked at when we could get them on sale.

You and your birds will love that flight cage, I have two of them. Lots of room for flying. And welcome to the forum! There's lots of good reading at the Finch Information Center, linked at left, and the members are always ready to help.

Hi,
Congrats on getting the flight cage. 8) I have one and just love it.
Quick question, I tried using the online calculator to figure out how many "little ones" will fit and it's a bit confusing as the calculator is more for cages and not aviaries. Any ideas regarding this one??
Yes, fine, ALL RIGHT I'll admit it........ I'm a stuffer. The more the merrier -at least from my point of view.
Keeping the birds in mind how many is too many??
So far,
1 pair strawberries
3 pairs of Gouldians
Everyone happy :P

Except !!!!!! I NEED owls and maybe cordon blues. More strawberries - What's a girl to do #-o

Actually, this flight cage is still considered a cage, and the calculator still applies here. The calculator says 3-4 birds, but it is a guide. The number of birds will vary greatly depending on species, whether they are passive or aggressive, whether they are in male/female pairs or are same sex, whether you plan to breed or not.

I recently had 5 pairs of Strawberries in one of these cages for quarantine purposes. I did not plan to leave them in there indefinitely, as I am interested in breeding, and colony breeding is not for me--no way to keep track of bloodlines. I believe I have had as many as 8 same sex birds in one of these cages at one time.

Personally, I don't think I would have more than 3 breeding pairs in this cage, and that is pushing it. It all depends on the birds, they may get along great, or they may have territorial issues. When breeding, even the passive species can get territorial, and if they don't have enough space to call their own, they may not breed well, or they may become aggressive, or they may interfere with each other's nests--any number of problems.

Thanks for getting right back to me Sally, everyone is super happy so at this point I am sticking with what I currently have. I am not trying to breed although they do have nest boxes and seem content - I am monitoring them closly though
In answer to where to purchase I bought mine through Wayfair online, a good experience and hassle free.

Guess I'm just going to have to ask Santa for another flight cage :D
