I am considering getting a nice big cage we have at work. We have carried these cages before and I get a great discount. I was wondering how many finches I could have in it. I was planning on starting with zebra finches and maybe adding the orange-cheeked finches they carry at Petco and maybe some other types, depending on what this cage can handle.
It is about 21" wide (front to back), 30" long, and 62" total height, but is on a stand so the cage itself is about 36" tall.
What kind of finch community could I have in it?
How many in this cage?

A cage like that is only recomended for a pair, but it all depends on the size of the bird and what species you have. i had 2 pairs in a cage smaller than that but i eventually added more finches and made an outdoor flight cage.
Society Finches, Fire Finches, Strawberry Finches, Owl Finches, Plum Head Finch, Goldbreast Waxbill Finches, Orange Cheek Waxbill Finches, Blue Capped Cordon Finches, Zebra Finches, Bronzewing Mannikin Finches, Red-Cheek Cordon Blue Finches, and Button Quail

That sounds about like the HQ single flight cage. It all depends on what you put in the cage. I have 5 adult Gouldians (3 female, 2 male), and they get along just great, but Gouldians are usually passive couch potatoes. Zebras do best as one pair or three or more pair in a cage with only Zebras, the bigger the cage the better. If you want a community cage, I would leave out the Zebras, and you could have 2-3 pairs of passive birds. Instead of Zebras, you could have Societies, they get along with everyone.
