Prevue Flight cage on Overstock.com

I found this cage through an advertisement on Facebook:

I love the dimensions but wish it was split in half from top to bottom. Does Prevue sell anything that would allow me to successfully split the cage and have a pull out tray? Is this cage a good buy or would I be better off just purchasing sets of 30x18x18 cages? Where do you all shop for cages online?

I've been finding some good deals on ebay lately.
Those Prevues are nice cages - I have a couple of them, and when I catch a good sale I'll probably pick up one or two more. I like the vertical space, because the birds get more exercise and have more to explore. Some people prefer to divide them into upper and lower units.

I've never thought to look at ebay. Hmm...

I look at Craigslist periodically but all I can ever find is crap. Or stuff that is way too beat up. Found one the other day almost identical to the one in the link. It was white, the latch had broken off and been replaced, and there was a bar missing. And he wanted $110 for it. Which is crazy when for $15 more I could get one brand new...

We found ours on Craigslist, it took a while to find both of them. We have the smaller versions of this cage and they work great for our gouldians. Our breeder cages are slower than the birds in these cages when it comes to breeding season. We put our food, charcoal, grit, and 2 perches at the bottom and currently half of our birds are down in the bottom and half are up top. We only have 6-8 birds in each and there is tons of room. I personally like colony breeding, we just split our birds up by mutation colors we like and hope for the best. If the ones we don't want to breed, pair up, it's fine, there's always the possibility of putting them in breeder cages later.

I just picked up one like this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Pawhut-Large-Me ... 5d47a28c77
and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and size. I was expecting cheap, flimsy wire but it's built like the Prevue cages. Slightly smaller but still spacious. There are several sellers who have similar items.
I just ordered a case of four 30" x 18" x 36" cages that I intend to combine into one very large flight cage, for just over a hundred dollars. That should be an interesting project.

Do a search for "splitting a flight horizontally"..... 3 pages of ideas of how to make "apartments" I have all my cages done like this.
I would get the larger F040; only $123 !!!!!! I have 2 of those & the rest are F030

That is the same price as amazon if you have amazon prime (free shipping). If you do not have prime then that is a nice deal. I have one and love it.
