This is my birdbath

I had found that open bowls or baths that hang outside the cage dripped water and the bowls let the birds
splash water all over the cage and floor. So I came up with this idea quite awhile ago. I use the large plastic
jar for larger flights and birds and the smaller jar for small finches. They do love the splashing around and the water stays right in the jar. I don't cut my lids quite so low and I only put in 1 or 2 inches of water for the smaller birds. I posted this first bath in 9/30/11

I have one in every flight and cage.... Love them and so do the birds.....

Yes! I think this is what I saw originally, but decided to go with the lid cut instead of the side cut, because my jars had the hand grip indent, and so cutting a side hole would have meant poop could drop in from above, and I wanted to be placing them at the end of the cage underneath perches. Your jars inspired mine. Thank You!

Looks like the one I made. I put it on a Frisbee to catch any flying water. It gets as crowded as a sunny beach!

Flipped my house upside down for something perfect to use... I guess I'll have to brave the snowy roads tomorrow :)

Ha, you know what would be perfect for this?
3D Pet Products Finch Food canisters!

They're clear squares, without lots of odd indents.

Now, if only my birds were big on the bath! Alas, only a couple of mine ever bathe. Dirty birds. :)

I've tried using the plastic Basmati rice containers, but just have not gotten around to setting one up for a trial!
