Hi,
I want to stop the Gouldian breeding season and wanted to check if it is ok to put 2 of my male goulds together in the same cage. The cage i have is 36"x12".
Would that be ok?

David,
That would be ok. I separate my males from my females too after the breeding season. It helps them go into molt and get ready for the next season. It also helps give the females a break from the males. Some breeders don't separate their birds and they go into molt and etc and are fine. But I find that if I don't separate mine, they will try to breed to the point of exhaustion and the females don't go into molt. Hopefully, this helps? I'm sure other breeders of gouldians will chime in and give you advice also.

Thanks Dana - i was just wondering if it's ok due to potential aggression but i guess it's fine.
Thanks

Males will get along fine together; make sure you have enough perches & places for each to have a little area; crowding them to pieces will not be good, but a couple together will do fine.

3 feet cage for two gouldians is good enough.
