There are two pairs of zebras in there. One pair has actually paired off and now has at least four eggs. The privacy dividers are sold as guinea pig mats, they were $4 each. The subordinate male is now much more confident and will now chase away the dominant male when he comes close to his nest and area.

I re-read the posts in the original and saw that you usually want either one or at least three pairs. I already had the two pairs (all added at the same time). I kept an eye out for other nice ones but all the Petsmarts have had their birds on hold since about October or so. I found a nice one at my cousin's work, a mostly white male. I added him. They weren't thrilled and chased him a bit so I kept a close eye on it. Second morning he was sitting on one of the perches minding his own business and seemed to be settling in well. That night he was on his perch, again seemed fine. An hour later he was on the bottom of the cage. About two hours after that he was dead. It seemed there was a lot more aggression going on than I saw or he was just taking it worse than it seemed.

So I will stick with the two pairs that seem to be doing well together. The unpaired female flirts with the paired male a lot, and the paired female wil chase her around a little when she sees this. Every once in a while the paired male will chase the unpaired male a little bit, but the unpaired male will defend his territory (the right nest). We will see how it goes as eggs hatch and babies hopefully grow up.
