Hey everyone. I'm sure there's a post out there that deals with this subject, but I couldn't find any through the search option. Feel free to link to the post if you know it.
Anyway, I'm going to be cleaning the finch cage for the first time and I was wondering what cleaning products clean it the best.
Thanks all.

I also clean with hot water and soap. I wipe down my perches with clorox wipes and then rise them off.

I have just started using diluted Simple Green and hot water to wash them down, and then I spray with a 10% bleach solution and let that air dry.

I use hot soapy water and rinse...then I like to use Pet Focus Avian Disinfectant and sometimes Clorox Anywhere Spray. For the in between smaller cleanings like the grate I wipe it down with the Pet Focus every few days.

We sue poop off to spot clean. For a while cage and the trays we use hot soapy water or hot bleahc water. If you use bleach make sure to use it in a well ventilated are away from the birds. The fume from the bleach can be toxic for the birds in high enough concentration.

I just realized that you are talking about cleaning the cage with birds in it.

I recently cleaned four used cages I bought, and so I had that in mind. When birds are in the cage, I only use hot soapy water.

I use hot soapy water and a dish scrubber which is solely dedicated to my bird cages and accessories. Its the safest way really. I only use disinfectant and/or bleach for new cages or when im changing around cages or when there is an outbreak of disease. Then, I rinse is really really well and air dry it.

Can't go wrong with soap and water, but if your cage has a removable tray to catch the poop I'll clean that with a little bleach as well.
