Zebs new Oval Office busy getting built
After my pair have the young and they are sold, I will move my pair to a bigger and better office, with all the comforts, here is a few pics of the start as I proceed. All front areas can swivel open 90 degrees. Going to be lovely, also will have curved roof - the oval office.

Re: Zebs new Oval Office busy getting built
I did more today, tomorrow is the two sides, bird mesh, cleats, and sides bolted, this cage will be able to break down into 5 parts and the roof. It has taken a lot of work as all the doors and panels can swing open, I used ZERO screws on the entire cage, ONLY dowels and panel pins. The doors are really nice, I make a quarter dowel 3 inches from top of doors through door post into the frames, the doors all swivel open easily, to clean etc. I clean my cage at night when they are in the nest etc, then I can work easily. This cage is going to be awesome. it is 1,800m x 1,500m x 740mm ( 180cm x 150cm x 74 cm). With castors to wheel in. The floor has a quarter gap between sides and floor, so I slide in a carpet that is easily slid and taken out to clean. The REAL OVAL OFFICE, the roof will also be like my other one oval shape BUT the breeding boxes will be in the roof and NOT on the cage side, the like height so......

Built the left side and odds and ends, now just the roof and fit the floor. All the small stuff takes time.

Re: Zebs new Oval Office busy getting built
Fitted the floor today and the perch rests, sanded, started on the roof join frame, that's next to create the half round parts. The cage is taking shape now, it is the fine stuff that is a time killer.
The cage will come apart in 6 pieces, so its easily transported in case I immigrate with the birds
Tomorrow is completion of bath area and the start of the roofing, the building of the roof with built in breeding boxes will take a while.
The bottom with the clamp shows the platform is just under half an inch wide so I can insert a sliding in carpet in and out to clean, works well.
Here a few pics as to how far we are after today.

Re: Zebs new Oval Office busy getting built
Started building the roof and the two built in roof breeding boxes, fitted top ribs for strength etc, the roof takes time, lots of detail, boxes, perches, resting spots, and in general a lot of work.Making the two inspection hatches on the back side of the roof, and in the centre of the inspection hatch I will fit a plug about half inch diametre so I can peep through at times

How are the built in best boxes going to work? Can they be accessed from the top of the cage?
