Had these two garage sale cages into a 30" flight. Took the sides off each cage and used zip ties to fasten them together.

How does it work with the trays? Do they poop on the middle part? But that's a good idea. I always see cages at yard sales. Good thinking Lori!

Time will tell Dante. I did not put any perches over the middle, we'll see how much poop we end up with there, hopefully since there is no perch over the middle there will be a minimum of pooping there. I put pine pellets in the trays.

It's a great idea and works well for these taller cages where you want to add more length.

I attached 2 flight cages to extend the length for my budgies. Stuff does fall through the middle of the cages, between the trays, but it's minimal effort compare to the extra cage space :D

I see many use pine pellets, is there a reason? Does it make things easier?
