Cherry Finches

Hi everybody, I currently have 3 pairs of cherry finches in a flight cage. It is large so it will fit in another 2/3 pairs of birds. Anyway my point is what species hybridise with cherry finches, I did check this on finchinfo.com but I don't think there is a section for them. :D

I've seen hybrids of cherrys with almost any other kind of Australian grassfinches, these were bred on purpose. I don't think you will have to worry about accidental hybrids with cherrys.

Thanks wessel , in another question I set up about this sort of question but for all species and I was told if they are paired there is not too much worry #-o for hybridising. I'm new to flight schemes as I usually use double breeders but i now have a few flights.

Another thought: some pull their birds from flights and put them up as a pair for the breeding process. Some harder-to-breed species seem to do better this way anyways (I don't know if cherries are in this category) and you don't have to worry about parentage questions.

I've heard that cherries are not that hard to breed but they wouldn't be as easy as zebras and bengalese. Most of my birds are in a cage setting but as I said I have a few flight cages.
