Alright guys, I need your help! I finally ordered my HQ double flight and it should be here within the week. **pause for happy dance**

However, I have no idea how to decorate this big thing. Anyone willing to show pictures of their setup so I could get some ideas? Besides, who doesn't like lookin at everyone's birdies anyway?

jebediah happy new year! Finches' cages don't have to be overfilled, they are very content with just a few things.

In the top right, you will see a corner shelf. Your birds will enjoy perching on that, and if you don't supply them a nest, they will probably sleep there too! We decorated our cage with ivy vines, which they really enjoy. It is pretty cheap, and it looks great in the cage. You can also give them many kinds of perches. I have a regular one, and a cool wavy one on the left.

Hope this helped!

Here is my new cage with photos. Recently added a bunch of fake Ivy plants. You can buy them at Walmart for $0.99 per bunch. I just cut them into smaller sections and zip tie them to the bars.

I also stick them into the washers that hold on the perches to provide foliage at the end of each perch.

Hope that helps.

Also, I went to Ace Hardware and had Plexiglass cut for the sides of my cage (at about 10" high, all around).

This helps contain some (I emphasize "some") of the mess of my Zebra's eating seed, bathing, etc...

delray,

Is that the vacation feeder from lady gouldian? Do you use those on a regular basis?

HeyItsRaymond,

I was about to say my cage skirt keeps most of the mess in, but I suppose my cage will be too big for a skirt when I get it. (Just found out it'll be over a week before it gets here. UGH!) How did you attach the plexiglass to the cage?

Thanks guys! I already bought some more plants and plan on doing a couple corner perches. :)

jebediah I honestly don't know which web site it was from because my aunt set me up with these guys from her latest clutch in May. But yes, they do use it on a regular basis. Their seed is in there so he's they are in there a lot.

glad I could help!
