Hi all, I decided to make cleaning the food bowls a little easier. Because all of the seed cups hang on the side of the cage there was a lot of seeds on the floor and they all have corners that are hard to clean. I bent a a cookie cooling rack length wise giving it a 2" lip and attached it with cable ties. I also bought some ceramic bowls with no corners. So much easier! All the spillage falls through the cooling rack to the bottom of the cage and not the floor.

Greets! You have really polite birds. My zebras are jumping and eating at the same time, so I am not positive at all at this resolution in my birds' case. What is more... from time to time I find they poo off the cage, 15 cm or so from the cage, how they do that I do not know...

Very clever! I just leave my dishes on the bottom so they get exercise going up and down

That's a good idea. My solution was to opt for bigger dishes. No such luck. They still scatter seed to the four winds, LOL.

Ditto what Debbie said. I use clear glass votive candle holders. You can get a sleeve of them really cheap from Ikea. There are two sizes. I use the small size for supplements and the larger size for seed and crumbles. Being clear it is easy to see if they are getting low or fouled. I also use them for water for the same reason. I do also use the tube waters and the hoppers.

Koko Yes, mine do that too! They must do some sort of acrobatics when we are not looking.
