So my fire pair had a baby and it should be fledging anyday now. My question is do you think after the baby fledges n is pretty much weaned, would it be safe to introduce the other pair into the flight??they are literally in the cage next to the flight
Last time I tried to introduce my single male I'm the flight with the pair and the other male kept chasing him. Now he has a female and I wonder if both pairs can live together. Their are several other finches in the flight as well.p

Re: Fire Finches
I think it would take about 3 weeks after fledging for the little one to be weaned. In my view the parents would be protective of the little one, and I would not introduce a new pair directly after it fledged. I would wait a week or 2. It also depends on the size of your aviary. If it is 3 meters long, with plenty of hiding places it, it should not be an issue.

Re: Fire Finches
Yeah I planned on waiting till the baby was weaned and independent. I actually have someone who wants the baby and I was wanting to add the other pair before they try to start another clutch.
