KoJax had more adventurous plans. He pulled a "runner" and headed straight out of the cage. I grab a very light fabric cloth, put it on a broom and ATTEMPT to stalk him down thru the fake trees. I look up (OMG the ceiling fan is on!!!), I lept over the couch (landing flat on my face), crawl up and turn it off stuffing the broomstick in the fan to stop it.
So me and KoJax do a left side of the room......right side of the room dance for about 10 minutes (that bird I KNOW is laughing at me the whole time). I step up in the couch again to catch him in mid flight, lose balance and faceplant on the floor again. I sooo wish I had a camera of that one. I think I actually ATE carpet fiber.

The cathedral ceilings lead to my upstairs hallway, where he decides its a great way to get away from my clumsy, ridiculous clutches and lands on the stairwell on the top..........the favorite place of my cat (who is in hospice and confined to the upstairs now due to old age but who will also GLEEFULLY forget he's soon to die and HAPPILY kill the bird). I yell "NOOOOOOOO"

Up the stairs I run to shoo KoJax back down to the flight cage below and instead (of course

So after all the calamity, there are two must-haves in this house. A butterflynet and a cage door curtain to block another escape. Any ideas for the widest and best net, and someone who knows either a person who makes cage door escape curtains (like for big aviaries) or someone who sells them......or even a good do-it-yourself net and curtain......... would be at this moment INCREDIBLY appreciated.
