Any negatives to using plastic hardware cloth?

I've searched here and saw a few people have said it would be ok for an indoor aviary. Has anyone actually used it? This is the plastic hardware cloth, not plastic coated wire. It is very narrow, do I need to worry about birds landing on it (ie landing on the cage ends between zoomies?).

Once again I am changing my mind and leaning toward building my own (indoor) aviary and certainly that plastic hardware cloth would be inexpensive to use. Nice too because the opening is less than 1/2 inch.

If you look here:

You can view my outdoors aviary and I am using the black plastic mesh. Of course, I'm in the building process so I cant say much about it but I'll let you know as I introduce birds.

Oh excellent, thank you. I want to get mine built in August, before crazy September starts. So once you start putting the plastic mesh on, let me know what you think of it.

Ok,
I found 2 negatives so far;
1. It is very hard to stretch out onto a fram evenly. There will most likely be "bubbles" or places where the mesh bump out. Its not that bad but if your OCD or something it might drive you crazy!

2. You cant screw in hardwood perches to it, or any other heavy thing on it, they will be very flimsy.
Otherwise, thats all I can think of really

Thank you FF. It is inexpensive, so maybe I'll buy a roll and see how it looks when I stretch it on a frame. I'm maybe a teensie bit oc.

As for mounting heavier perches, I figured on making the back wall solid, not mesh, so I will be able to attach perches there.

I really appreciate your feedback on this!
