javas with societies

Hi Everyone,

I used the calculator to work out hom many birds my cage can hold (8 to 11). My question is, is it possible to keep javas with society finches in a 1 by 1.5M patio cage? I was contemplating adding a pair of white javas but I dont know if the two species would get along. Im sure the societies wouldnt mind the company but what about the Javas?

I've had young javas and societies in the same holding cage and the javas really are a bit aggressive for them. I'd look for a similarly sized finch.

I've never had problems with my Javas with other passive species, then again my aviary is 4,5mx2,5m so there's much more room.

The only time they were a bit aggressive was around feeding stations, this was easily solved by adding more feeding and drinking stations.

I would keep a close eye on them.
