Just wanted to know if you use seperate light fixtures for each breeding cage ? With full -spectrum ?

Or do you use one t-12 fixture to light up several breeding cages ?

I use something similar to this in each of my breeding cage and its fixed inside the cage.

Let me know what you guys use ?

I have different types. I bought a few double fluorescent assemblies 2' long for $16. The bulbs I believe were $8 each full sprectrum.
I also have a 4' double for $25 and the lights were the same price.
Lastly, I purchased an under the counter unit for $10. It's pretty compact and slim and the 18" tube was $8. If I had to do it over, I would just purchase the under the counter type. Inexpensive, comes with a cord and a switch, but I have all my lights on a timer.

Exoticgouldian, I just noted you have your lights installed inside the cage. How difficult is it to change a burned out tube from inside?
Trying to change a tube with birds sitting on eggs might be too distruptive.

My birds live in an environment that is lit by common or garden energy saving bulbs.
