Who can I pair a disabled Society with?

My baby Society is not doing well in the new large cage. He falls off the perches and it seems like he may have a sore wing, not to mention his two horribly twisted feet. He keeps trying to get up to where the other birds are (4 feet up) but ends up flopping back down to the ground and sitting there most of the day. I was thinking about putting him in a smaller cage (so he doesn't have room to hurt himself) with one other bird but what kind of bird should I pair him with, a dove or should I just pull the mom or dad to go in with him?

Thanks

Can't you put a small branch on the floor to give him a chance to get up to a higher perch I think in time he will adapt OK
If you put him in smaller cage I think i would put another society with him they would probably get along OK

We have lower perches and even a nest close to the bottom of the cage but he insists on being up with the others and won't use them. I wish I could just put a bubble around him.

I wouldn't pair him with a dove, even a diamond dove--too much bigger. Another Society would be best. I would move him to a smaller cage, though, with a companion if possible, till he gets older and stronger. He will wear himself out trying to keep up with the others. My Strawberries that are handicapped have no problem flying from one end to the other of a 5' flight cage, and when they land, they kind of hop and wobble a little, till they get balanced, but they had to learn all this in stages--smaller cages, lower perches first.
