Hi Forum,
I know hybrids are mostly frowned upon by people here but i think ill ask anyway.
Does anyone know if two goldfinch x canary mules can be kept in the same cage together? Im not talking about a standard "canary sized" cage but a larger than trash can sized, hanging one. Are they more likely to fight like canries or be more civil like the goldfinch? Could a mule live with a goldfinch? or canary?
I guess this is why people dont like hybrids

probably the only thing to do Adam is try them in together and see how they do
Addicted to Finches, yes I do admit it.
I pray they never find a cure.

I agree with Mickp, put them together and observe them carefully. Are they males or females as the canary male in them might be more agressive.

He is a male mule. I was thinking of getting him a cage mate but not if they would rather live alone. He has the most wonderful song, it fills the entire garden. I dont know which parent he would take after, finch or canary. I would rather try a male finch than a male canary but the only ones available are wild caught. I had some before but gave them away. They really are not suited to life in a cage, they need a large aviary to be happy.
