Decorative Finch Cages

Post by delray » Sun Jan 08, 2017 9:42 pm

Hey everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I have Phineas and Ferb in a 30/18/18 inch cage currently. We are looking for a slight upgrade for them, but we would really like to have a decorative cage. Does anyone know of any? Thanks!

How big do you want to go? I love the Prevue F30, which is quite large, has a peaked roof similar to a house, and is very easy to add lots of plants and decorative items.

Hi Bri,

There are so many different types of cages, and flights, that it's hard to know where to even start, lol.

Sally lovezebs Not exactly sure, but we would prefer not to go too much bigger. Thanks, i will look into that one!

Elana, I really like the 3rd and 5th cages! What are the dimensions and the prices? The picture is a bit blurry. Thanks!

I have a prevue hendryx cage that looks a bit like a house. It's smaller than yours I think but I know they have a lot of various similar cages that are larger. The pitched roof doesn't work great for this one because it's not tall and therefore there's not much flying room but it would be great on a bigger cage if one exists. Good luck, I love cage shopping lol

Chihuahua lovezebs Thanks!

Elana, the prevue f30 seems pretty large for just my 2 societies! I am going to do some research on some cages a bit smaller than that. Thanks for looking for me!

Brian - consider the Prevue F070/F075. It is roughly 20x20x36. I have my two Bengalese in it and it is perfect for just 2 finches. I have the one without the stand. A really good feature of this cage is the divider - it is removable. But for cage cleaning, I can shoo the birds to one side, slide it in, and clean the other side as there are separate trays for each side.

I take out the wire bottom and slide the pans on TOP of the rails to prevent escape. LOVE the convenience and that extra 6" of space lengthwise.

Or the Prevue F040 - it is not currently on sale on Amazon but it goes on sale pretty frequently. Not on sale, it is about $125. On sale it runs about $100.

It is a taller cage but it is actually cheaper than the F070/F075. And more space never hurts.

WAIT WAIT WAIT! The F040 IS on sale for $100 right now.

It is roughly 30" long x 42" tall (inside the cage, total height with stand 52") and about 20" wide.

The F050 is slightly larger at 37" long x roughly 48" stall (60" with stand) x 23" wide. BUT it costs $170 - at that price I prefer to buy 2 of the F040s and get a cage that is 5' long.

Turn towards home, and go there. Many overs, over woods and fields, streams and hills, many overs. Just turn towards home. How else would one go there? Perhaps it was a dream, and you have awakened from it. May the earth rise up beneath you, with home in your heart, and your person waiting.
