To upload a file, you can click on the link that says "POSTreply" above the quick comment section. It will have a section lower down where you can upload pictures (says "attach file"). If you can edit your original post, the section should also turn up. Unfortunately I don't know what to do if the file size is too large.
As for mites, I use Ivermectin when I think there is a cause for concern. S76 is also a reliable treatment. I don't think either are recommended for birds under six months, though.

I've never had mites. Perhaps I've just been lucky? But no bird I've ever brought in had any disease or mites. I do quarantine. My mother had dozens of birds - no mites or disease issues, and those were nearly all wild-caught back then.

Are mites really all that common?

Turn towards home, and go there. Many overs, over woods and fields, streams and hills, many overs. Just turn towards home. How else would one go there? Perhaps it was a dream, and you have awakened from it. May the earth rise up beneath you, with home in your heart, and your person waiting.

Glad I could help! That's a nice-looking cage and looks like it should work quite well. I don't see how you would have any more trouble with mites than anyone else, though the wood may make it a bit harder to get rid of red mites if your birds get them.
I'd recommend against the bird protectors that clip onto the side of the cage; there was recently a thread explaining how several people have lost birds due to the product's toxicity.
