Hello guys,
I'm looking into upgrading my caging to accommodate my budgies and a group of finches / male canary. I have limited floor space in the room they will be in, so would prefer something stackable. That said, I know those can be rare, so I'm also open to standard double flights that don't stack, or even standard flights that can be combined into a double flight.
I would like something sturdy and with easy access (so multiple doors, maybe larger doors for cleaning purposes. It also needs to be larger than what I have now (3'x2'x2').. I'd prefer at least 5' long but it can be 2' or 20" tall as they will use the length more than the height.
Ideally, I'd love something on a stand that can roll for cleaning also.
If you have any suggestions, I'd love to hear them.
Thank you for your time and help!

I just switched my whole bird room over to these, they are 42" wide, stackable and have divider to make them into 2 21" . Lighting needs to be mounted inside with magnets, as well as swings and things. I just bought a bunch of magnets with hooks on them. They are so much cleaner, the only way for mess to get out is in the tray, or out the front.

If you're a little bit handy with a few tools, you can make your own:
I don't have these units any longer, but I did for years. This is the kind of shelving, 48" long. One cage per shelf layer, so it was inexpensive.

Re: Looking for a quality double flight (possibly stackable)
I have some units that are similar to these. Mine are actually 40x20x20 (each cage), and they stack 4 high, which puts them within 3 inches of the ceiling (I have 8' ceilings). I love them, as the metal material is very easy to clean. For whatever reason, poop wipes right off. They are also dividable, which is great, because on mine, the doors are quite large, making it easy for birds to escape while I'm servicing the cage. I can just slide in the divider, keeping the birds on one side of the cage while I clean the other side. I got all of mine used. With mine, I was able to put some extra-slim lights between each level, but they barely fit. I got some LED lights instead, I think they will work better.

Re: Looking for a quality double flight (possibly stackable)
Thank you for your responses! I love the look of those, but my only concern would be placing different perches in the cages, nests, etc. I'd like to use some natural branches in the cages if possible and am not sure if that would work with these.
Sally- What sort of LEDs did you get for them? The tape kind or the type that is mounted on metal?
I love how sturdy this cage looks, and the dimensions (plus it is stacked) but I wonder if A&E makes it in a double flight version, for twice the width. Each cage is 32"Wx21"Dx27.8"H. If I could find that in a double version, it would be perfect in terms of dimensions I'm looking for. https://www.wayfair.com/pet/pdp/a-e-cag ... id=3277970

artgecko This is where I got my LED's. I haven't set them up yet, but I've heard very good things about this company and their lighting system.

I love double flights for the long flying space. I have normal 8' ceilings, and I thought about stacking two double flights. However, the stand plus two cages work out to higher than my ceilings. I found these at IKEA, and they will allow me to stack my double flights, but I wonder about the bottom cage being so close to the floor. I will place them horizontally with the shelves acting as legs. Two of them give me enough room to place a double flight on top, and then stack another double flight on top of the first.

Re: Looking for a quality double flight (possibly stackable)
Sally- That looks like a great idea. Right now, my birds are housed in my double critter nation, which is about 1' off the floor for the bottom cage. The cages themselves are 2' high each. I don't like how low the bottom cage is (and neither do the budgies) but to save space, I may have to stack the flight cage/s I get... Unless I can figure out a way to save wall space and find room for 2. I figure having 2 stacked also cuts down on the area of the floor that gets messy, as there is just one cage footprint to have mess fall from.
