I expect him to loose his mind if it is a girl. He'll probably spend the first few days trying to woo her so hard he might lose his voice. I didn't even think of his reaction. I'll have to record him right after I put her in and see if I can get a reaction on camera.

FinchLover&Breeder when coco got his first female which was ginge he viciously attacked her so bad I had to take her out of the cage him and the other two males bullied her but then when he got with her alone they became my strongest paired finch I couldn’t seperate them

FinchLover&Breeder, To give your birds better flight, you might consider taking out the top perch and replacing with one perch at each end that is placed from front to back of cage on each end. This way the birds can fly from end to end. These cages come with the long perch that goes from one end to the other, but that doesn't give the birds flight across the cage. The lower perch would be ok for the food and water cups. You can get the dowels to use for perches at Home Depot or Lowes in any size and cut them to fit the cage, leaving extra to cut the grooves that the cage wire will fit into. Pine is a soft wood and easy to cut if you can get it. If you go to any bird fairs, you can get some dragon wood and make perches out of that too. Or they have ready made ones too, You might find one that has several small branches that can be fastened close to the floor of the cage so the finches can use that too and still have the flight space.

Just a small tip- I would recommend just a couple branch perches because they will keep the finches nails trimmed and will be nice on the finches feet. Nice sized cage tho.
