Hello All! I have a small, indoor finch aviary with 12 birds. I like my birds' water clean and I'm currently using glass bottles with single metal balls (not Lixit). The problem is that at times the birds cannot get the water out. It looks like the balls may be getting stuck and the finches are not able to unstick them. Fortunately I work from home and can manage this by tapping/shaking the bottles to release the water. I'm sure you would all agree, however, that this is not a viable system for their water. The aviary is constructed with 1/4" hardware cloth (so methods attaching bottles/trays to horizontal or vertical bars will not work), and there is no good place to hang a waterer (though I may be able to attach a rod to hang a waterer on, or I can set a waterer on a platform).

Does anyone know of a reliable bottle that does not get stuck, a waterer that only releases small amounts of water at a time so their drinking water is not fouled, or any other effective watering solutions?
