Owl finches winter temperature

Hi all just getting mixed information on owl finches and cold some sites saying keep above 15 c others say they are able to handle the cold just looking for people with hands on experience with owl finches in winter outdoors in Irish or UK climates

'Hands-on' experience' is the key phrase. There are a lot of answers on the internet that just repeat previous answers, most of which are not based on real experiences.

@Mattyb802wex, I hope you get a lot of responses.

I've had Budgies and Canaries in an unheated aviary that occasionally got as cold as 0° F (-18° C). They did fine, ate normally, and later in the season they bred normally. That is quite a bit colder than the Budgie's natural habitat in Australia. Or the Canary's natural habitat in the Canary Islands.

Member debbie276 kept her owl finches in an outside aviary, with attached shed that she kept at 55-60 F in winter. She was in New Jersey, which gets pretty cold with snow in winter. You can see one photo where the aviary is covered in snow, and she said her birds would still go outside during the day.
