how many finches would live comfortably here

Post by Robert79 » Tue Jan 27, 2009 8:42 am

Hi,
How many finches can I have in my breeding flight who have 50' width and 30' depth and 65 height.
Haw many finches would live comfortably in here , at this moment I have 2 pair societies , 1 pair stars and 1 pair shaft-tail .
Is this ok for they? Can I have more becouse I love they.
Thank you.

Hi Robert and Welcome!! B Camp is right - there is a cage size calulator which will tell you how many birds will fit any size aviary or cage. Sounds like fun! Welcome Romania!!

Did you mean 50 inches by 30 inches? If so, then the 6 you have is just about right, according to the calculator. Better not to overcrowd, so you can enjoy the finches you have even more, knowing they are happy! :D

Welcome! I think you have the cage about maxed out now. Good luck!
Goulds, Owls, Gold Breasts, Stars, Zebras, Societies
An obscene number of chicks and eggs
And an incredibly rare St. Goldena Breast finch
Anyone want some finches???
