The roofers left today...no more leaky roof :D So you know what this means :D :D
New aviary to be used by the new arrivals and of course the old gang.
Need to cover the floor with linoleum, screen the outside to protect from mosquitos and then of course hang some nest boxes on the wood. One of the sliding doors goes to the sitting area (old dining room) and the other sliding door is sealed off with wire, it goes to the big aviary, The PineTree Aviary, that we just finished. It now houses 2 pair of red throat parrot finches.

Looks great! What birds will get to be in the aviary I noticed you had a few types. How do your Scarletts do? I just got a pair a few months ago and I love them.

That is a wonderful view for the birds.....you are doing such great things with that house....I always look forward to your photos!

Since your Finches have their own house and address....do they get fan mail? If not I will send them some...hehe!

How about some bird seed catalogs...I know they would love to look at those!

 They love mail, they get Birds and Blooms, Bird Talk and many seed catalogs....they also get the daily newspaper but you can imagine what they do with that

Isabird,
I am thinking of letting the scarlets have the who;d area for the summer. I haven't quite finished the area but I feel the keets could benefit from some free flying time. I have had them set up in breeding cages but they just are not producing. Too hot now anyway....soooo I think I will be moving them.
