Getting there Finally! It's Ready, with Pics :) 8/11

Hey All,

Although it's not quite finished yet, I just wanted to post a pic of my almost finished flights :) I stole the idea from Janine to make it a bi-level flight instead of one big one. Now I will have two 5ft flights :) I
could put the hens in one and the boys in the other. I'll still have my 4ft flight and my 30x18 for breedings and growout cages.

My husband worked hard all day and I'm very proud of him and so excited that it's finally almost finished. I've waited a very long time for them. He needs to add the doors and the pull out draws. I need to add a few more decorations, hooks for food cups, etc.

I will post more pics when it's done and the birds are inside, YIPPY!!!!! :))

Thanks Candace :D Nothing like what you and Donna have but at least I'm going in the right direction and who knows maybe someday I will have a room of birds :) Sure would make me happy to see them flying freely in one big room with trees and water fountains :)

Girl can dream :)

It's finally finished, birds are in :))) This is a very happy and hot day for me :) My hubby broke his back the last few days. He's definetly a keeper :) It came out fantastic if I do say so :))

The top is for my bachelor boys, and the bottom I decided to use to set up my breeding pair. It has more privacy for now. I set up my beautiful pastel and my BH hen. I had to separate her and my RH male a few weeks ago, and decided to try her with Jinxy because he's very ready to breed and I will get more of a variety. I hope they like each other :)

My 4ft flight will house my societies and my OH hen. I will keep my 30x18 for any future breeders or birds :)

Here is thImagee whole thing

Here is the side. My hubby added holes and cut out the panels from another old cage to attach the water bottles. (My idea) LOL! It came out great!

It also has draws that I can pull out for cleaning.

My hubby is putting a new door on the 4ft flight, and then it will be moved to the front with the new flight. I will post pics again when everyone is moved and totally finished.

Thanks for letting me share. I think I waited almost 6mos for these flights but it was definetly worth the weight. I'm so happy I can give my babies a little more space.

I forgot about the lights. It has lights on top but I need to see if I can add more lights for the bottom flight. It was last minute that i decided to make it into a double but the room has plenty of natural light and is very bright. Will see what we can do.

Thanks so much Bill!!! It's been in the 90's last few days here. He worked about 8 hours today and about 6 yesterday, and had a few beers. I don't know how he did it, lol!!

Thanks so much guys!!! :D I can't stop looking at it. I wish you all can see it in person, it looks so much nicer then the pics show. Hubby really out did himself. We had a tough year and there was so much going on and as you all know life gets in the way sometimes but things always turn around eventually :) Now I can concentrate on other matters, like my daughters first birthday coming up in a few weeks :)
