Will it be ok in the cold?

My bedroom has no heating, so in winter it gets very, very cold. I'm talking see-your-breath cold. Will my finch be ok in this temperature, or will I have to move it?
Im concerned because the warmest place to put it would be the shed, and it'd have to put up with boiler noise all day and night, which obviously isn't ideal. Cant really put it anywhere else room-wise either. :/

What species of finch, some are more fragile than others? Do you have electricity to your bedroom? If so, you could rig up a heat lamp over the cage, and that will help. Where are you located?

Species, I have no idea, see the misc questions thread as I put up pics in the hope someone could identify it for me!
Im in the UK, so its not arctic by any means, but still cold. I could probably look into a heat lamp, though Ive never used/had one before. Is it possible to buy heating bulbs for regular desk lamps?

You can also get an aluminum light hood to use and set it right on top of the cage or hook it to the side near a perch but give them enough room to move away from the heat source. Most home improvement stores carry them:

I use infra red bulbs. You can get them up to 150 wt. But they need to be screwed into a porcelain socket, or they will blow out.
