Orange Weaver Housing

Post by pushtoowala » Sat Mar 31, 2007 10:50 am

I just got 4 new finches a couple of days ago. There were 3 zebras and one orange weaver. I think it is a male. Can anyone tell me how to sex them.

Also, They are housed together but the weaver seems a little left out and he is always on the cage floor while the zebras are on the perch. He is not sick though, very active and all. Shoul i find him a mate, put him in a separate cage or what? I am also planning on breeding the one pair of zebras so will it be ok if I separated them from the other male zebra and the weaver. That means there will be a pair of zebras in one cage and on e male zebra and one orange weaver male(I think) with him.

I would definitely move the breeding pair of Zebras into their own cage.

Male is on the left, hen is on the right.
