I've tried to post pictures on here but just can't seem to figure it out so here is a direct link to my new avairy,
http://mysite.verizon.net/vzex2qkm/thomndebs/id13.html

We live in NJ so I will be testing the heater and such to make sure that I can keep the temperature stable during0 winter this year. Come spring I plan on putting the birds out there so they have time to acclimate to the temps.

Hope you enjoy

Hi Debbie!

Welcome to the group. Your outdoor aviary looks great! I have your site saved in my favorites file for quite a while now. I liked the idea of your indoor flight and used it as a guide along with a few others I've found to show my husband :) Now I will have to show him your outdoor one. I live in NY so I was concerned about the weather here, but you seem to have got a nice set up. I will watch for updates and see how the birds like it :)

Best of luck with it.
Renee

Thanks Renee! I'm still a little nervous whether I'll be able to keep it warm enough out there because these winters can be brutal. I wanted it built this winter so I would have a whole winter season to tinker with it before anyone goes in it. I've got to keep some of the birds inside the house though because I truely would miss hearing and seeing them all day, so the breeders will be staying in the house with me. :)
Thanks again

Debbie,
I was just checking your entire site out last night after seeing a web address under a post you made with Misty under breeding.
Wow, great looking birds you have. Also love the documentation of the chicks growths..... Also you gave me a great idea of linking others site from my web page..... Thanks for listing mine..... I noticed you need to add Misty's new site (awesome Misty :D )

The outdoor aviary you built is very much like the one I hope to build someday for beautifing the yard....... I just won't have to insulate as much
One more thing I think that geocaching is a superb idea.... Also, I must of spent an hour being inspired by your pictures. It was nice meeting you, feel I got to know you guys through your friendly site. :D

Thanks all for your lovely comments.
I had no idea Misty had such a beautiful site and have now included it in my listings. Thanks for letting me know.

The aviary looks great, can't wait to see it finished!

Off topic: Your geocaching pictures are beautiful!!! [-o< [-o< [-o<

My husband and I were looking into geocaching, but didn't get started yet. I like the idea but the house with dogs, birds, and fish seem to always keep us so busy during weekends that there seems to be not much time for anything else (and we're both working during the week)... ;-)

Oh you should really try it when you get a chance. It takes you to very cool places you had no idea were there.
Thanks, I can't wait to get birds in there in the spring. lol

Hi and welcome.

Your aviary is very nice, I really like the floor, are those tiny bird tracks I see? I also love the fall leaves in the background. What part of Jersey are in i, I am originally from Whippany, Hackettstown and just outside of Princeton before relocating to Florida.

Can't wait to see your birds as you add them!
