Unexpected Gouldian oppurtunity - will this work?

I have the opportunity to get 2 gouldian finches inexpensively with 4 societies that I am adopting. The issue is a little complicated. My indoor aviary is 6 ft long x 6.5 ft tall x 3 ft deep - a recent update from my flight which was only 4 ft tall. I currently have 7 zebras; 4 males & 3 females and 3 societies (genders ?)

hmmm --- how to explain this so it'll make sense . . .

This aviary is joined to another aviary the same size with 4 budgies, soon to be 6 and the fellow who is giving me the new budgies has one zebra (probably male) and would like to adopt one or two of my zebras. I don't want to give him or myself a gender balance issue, but I'd like to make room for the unexpected gouldians.
If I give him 2 males, he'll have 3 males and I'll have 3 females and 2 males.

When I get the new societies I'll have seven.

is this confusing enough? . . .

Can I have a peaceful community with=
5 zebras (2 males, 3 females)
7 societies
2 gouldians?

---- And will he be okay 3 male zebras?
Thanks,
Hoji

I personally might not house the Goulds and Societies with the Zebras. Zebras can be a bit territorial when in breeding pairs. But the flight is a decent size, so I dunno. Hopefully someone else who has tried this can give you an educated descision.

Thanks, good point.
I forgot to mention that I'm not breeding, no nests and I remove all the eggs.

I've had my zebras and societies together for many years with only mild squabbles.

Are there any other ideas, opinions?
I think I'm going to get the Gouldians. My friend is only to take one male zebra, which will leave me with a nice even 3 pairs of zebras.

I would think that it is really worth the try. Sometimes birds that are already established in an aviary will be quite territorial. It would be best to rearange the furnishings..ie, move the perches, plants, swings etc. This will break the territorial areas at the same time you add the new birds (quarrantine the new guys first before adding)
Enjoy your new goulds... they are one of my favorites :D

Thanks. I just installed my birds in their aviary last week, so its all pretty new to them. But, yes, I will move some things around. The newness of my aviaries is the reason why I'd like to get the new guys really soon.

I'm getting them from private homes where their owners have had them for at least 10 months. I'm still a little concerned about quarantine, but if I do that then the newness will be past.
