Moving birds to our enclosed porch?

I am thinking about moving my birdies out onto our enclosed porch/sunroom - to allow them to get some sunshine (and also this is where I think I'll put a larger flight when/if I get it.)
I live in NE Florida, so I'm not concerned about cold, however, how hot is too hot? This is a screened in enclosure that has since been glassed in with removable windows - they are not at all air tight, but during the summer it can get pretty dang hot out there - we do have a portable a/c unit, but don't want to run it non-stop ($$$$). Also, would that be bad if we ran it occasionally- if they are used to the hot?
Thanks for any input

My aviary is a former sunroom where 2 and a half sides are only windows instead of walls. However, I have a screen door (actually not screen but coated wire mesh) to the living room, so they do get the cool air from the house even if there's no AC vent in the aviary directly. Sometimes in summer it can get pretty warm in there anyway during the day, and on hot days it's close to 90. I can tell that the birds don't really like that and seem to be sluggish when that happens. So I'd say anything above that wouldn't be good for the birds.
However, I would definitely NOT run the AC occasionally. 1. an AC in the room directly can cause cold drafts. 2. extreme temperature changes are not good for the birds either.
Not sure what you can do in your case, except limit the birds' "sunroom time" to spring and fall and remove them when it's too hot or too cold...
Hope that helps somewhat.

I used to have my birds in a small room off my back porch, and it would get really hot in there in the summer (I live in hot Texas). I installed a small window a/c unit, but I set it so the room did not get super cool. The a/c unit would cycle on and off, and the birds seemed to do just fine. Not to mention my own comfort when I was cleaning cages!

Thanks to you both - I think it will probably get way too hot to stay in there on a permanent basis, but maybe I could do as you say and put them in there except when it's super hot.
Still trying to figure out the best scenario for them, so thanks for the input!
